How to set start and due date for a task that is still not scheduled?

In the same vertical position of the task, click on a day column where you would like to schedule the task. After that, it's ready to drag an drop around the chart.

How are tasks sorted?

Tasks are sorted by start date, which is the default sorting rule for a Gantt Chart. Unscheduled tasks are sorted by Asana priority. If you have sections enabled for the chart, it's important to know that sections will appear by Asana priority, while tasks inside sections will be sorted by the rules described before.

How to create dependency between tasks?

Hover your mouse on a task bar and you will see a little icon on the left of the bar. Click the icon and "drag" it to another task.

Is it possible to view multiple projects in one chart?

You can create a group of up to five projects that will be displayed in one chart. From the "Import projects" section, click on the "Create group button"

For synchronizing project colors and names

If the name or color of your projects ever change in Asana, just click on the "configuration" icon on the left sidebar and click on "Resync project colors and names".

Printing a chart

Now it's possible to export an image version of your chart, so you can include it in your keynotes, print it or share it. To do it just click on the "camera icon" in the gantt toolbar. There you will find options for exporting as image along with an option to create public snapshots.

This is a very new functionality that is available for only a small group of users. It will be available to everybody within the next few days.

Sharing a chart

For sharing the chart you can create a "Public snapshot", that is a read only version of your chart that everybody that has the URL can have access to it. Doesn't require to login. To create a public snapshot just click on the "Camera icon" on the gantt toolbar.
